Jam Packed Presents: Cousin Kula - 03rd Dec 2016 / 20:00 @ The Jam Jar Bristol

From the curators of The Jam Jar Collective, Jam Packed is a new events team with an exciting schedule of events coming this winter.

Cousin Kula

Celebrating the launch of their second single 'ODE TO LYLE' - the follow up to their debut, and their last show of the year.

Named as one of the top acts in Bristol this year by NME this is not a show you want to miss. Their unique psych pop sound features incredibly tight musicianship with jazzy brass, psychedelic organs, a funky rhythm section and soulful lead vocals .

"Sometimes you can tell from the first listen that there’s a spark behind a band. Cousin Kula provide something dreamy and leftfield with their first single ‘Hesitation’." NME

"Cousin Kula are on the up in Bristol, with their psych-pop offerings piquing interests across the city (and beyond). [They] instantly infect your brain." Line of Best Fit

"It’s worth playing on loop for the synth solo at the end” BBC 6Music

La Trappistine ~

Being relatively fresh on the scene in Bristol this year, La Trappistine have been brewing a fierce blend of bluesy jazzy soul, psychedelic funk with a sprinkling of latin & afrobeat rhythms into the mix for good measure.

Playing tunes that contain some serious nostalgia whilst very much looking forward, their timeless style and musical journey is a must see.

Think White Denim meets Roy Ayers meets Fela Kuti.
